✔ Take care of the mom

On the day of the shoot, mom spends the whole day preparing the family for the shoot. Dressing everyone, feeding, changing diapers, changing clothes soiled with food, and barely managing to put on makeup and get herself ready. Often there is no time for the last part, mom thinks the main thing is the children, but there’s a slight regret that she couldn’t manage again. And it is important to manage, otherwise later in the photos mom might not like how she looks.

Therefore, before heading to the session, give mom a couple of hours for herself, and it’s best for mom to go to a makeup artist, where she can relax and de-stress before the session.

✔ Tell the children about the photoshoot in advance

Here it’s important for parents to convey to the child that they are going to have a very fun activity. Show them family photographs of relatives and tell them how important it is for all of you, later, when the children grow up, to look at the photographs from your session.

✔ Promise a treat afterward

A very important point, promise a visit to the ice cream shop or to the attractions after the photoshoot, as motivation familiar things will relax and tune the child in the right mood.

✔ Plan for extra time

Book an hour or two for the photoshoot. The photographer can give you a break at the right moment, and you won’t be nervous that your time is running out.

✔ Stay calm

Try to relax before the shoot, and if possible, meet the photographer in advance, then during the photoshoot you will already have established contact and it will take place in a relaxed atmosphere.”
